Create a cool super nova effect with various filters,
awesome outcome!
Step 1. start off with a new 400x400 px document fill your
background black
Step 2. Now goto Filter->Render->Lens Flare (Settings 70%,105 prime)
now place them like i have below.
Step 3. Now Duplicate your layer (Ctrl + J )
Step 4. Next Goto Filter->Distort->Twirl (Settings -40)now change
the blending mode to lighten now u should have somthing like below.
Step 5. Now Merge your layers together (Ctrl + E)
Step 6. Once again Duplicate your layers (Ctrl + J)
Step 7. Now goto Filter->Distort->Glass (Settings 7,4,Frosted,100%)
Step 8. Next goto Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur (Settings 6.0 px)
Step 9. Now goto Filter->Blur->Radial Blur (Settings 100%,Zoom,Best)
Step10. now change the blending mode to lighten now u should have somthing
like below
Step11. Next goto Filter->Stylize->Glowing Edges (Settings 2,12,9)
Step12. Now change your blending mode to "Lighten" Now merge yours layers
together (Ctrl + E)now u should have somthing like below
Step13. Once again Duplicate your layer (Ctrl + J)Now with your
top layer selected goto filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur settings (6px) now change
your blending mode to "Lighten"
Step14.Now Merge them together (Ctrl + E) now open up hue/saturation(Ctrl
+ U) and colorize what u want like i have and hopefullyu got somthing like
i have below, now slap on some text and call it good
