Learn how to create an awesome musty xbox style
button.
Step 1: First start off by creating a document 500 by 500 pixels and
make a circle on a new layer with the ellipse tool any size in the middle of
the document. Than add a Gradient Overlay , Color 1: 3E6B17 Color 2: DEFFC4
Step 2: Inner Shadow, Color 1: 000000
Step 3: Inner Glow, Color 1: 0C4802
Step 4: Make a new layer below the orb and hide the Background layer,
than go to Layer -> Merge Visible.
Step 5: Unhide the Background Layer and this is what the orb should
look like.
Step 6: Duplicate layer 2.
Step 7: Hold down control and than click on "Layer 2 Copy" to select
the border of the circle.
Step 8: Set your foreground color to 6A6A6A and your background color
to FFFFFF. Now go up to Filter -> Render -> Clouds, then go to your Blending
Mode Drop Down Menu and select "Overlay". Now deselect (Ctrl+D).
Step 9: Now merge these two layers Layer -> Merge Down (Ctrl+E). And
this you should have now
Step 10: Now duplicate "Layer 2", and with the top layer selected "Layer
2 Copy", go up to Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur.
Step 11: Now go to your Blending Mode Drop Down Menu and select Hard
Light.
Step 12: Now merge these two layers Layer -> Merge Down (Ctrl+E). And
this you should have now.
Step 13: Now duplicate "Layer 2" again, and with "Layer 2 Copy" selected,
go up to Filter -> Sketch -> Chrome. Use the default settings and hit "Ok".
Step 14: Now go to your Blending Mode Drop Down Menu and select Soft
Light.
Step 15: Put "Layer 2 Copy"'s Opacity down to 30%.
Step 16: Now merge these two layers Layer -> Merge Down (Ctrl+E). And
this you should have now.
Step 17: Now duplicate "Layer 2" again, and go up to Image -> Adjustments
-> Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+U) and make sure you check the box that says "Colorize".
Use the settings below.
Step 18: Now go to your Blending Mode Drop Down Menu and select Pin
Light.
Step 19: Now merge these two layers Layer -> Merge Down (Ctrl+E). And
this you should have now.
Step 20: Now duplicate "Layer 2" again, and go up to Image -> Adjustments
-> Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+U) and make sure you check the box that says "Colorize".
Use the settings below.
Step 21: Now go to your Blending Mode Drop Down Menu and select Color
Burn.
Step 22 (Final Step) : Now merge these two layers Layer -> Merge Down
(Ctrl+E). And this you should have now.
